In June 2019, I proudly graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth where I dedicated my studies to the fascinating field of Make-up for Media and Performance. Over the course of three years, I immersed myself in a comprehensive curriculum that encompassed a wide range of skills and knowledge pertinent to the multifaceted make-up industry. This included not only the fundamental techniques of applying cosmetics but also an exploration of the historical context of make-up, the science of skin types, and the intricacies of character design through make-up artistry.

Throughout my studies, I had the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, collaborative projects, and industry placements that allowed me to refine my craft and develop a professional portfolio. However, it was in the specialized area of wigs and postiche where I truly found my passion. Working with wigs—creating, styling, and fitting them—provided me with a unique outlet for my creativity, and I found immense joy in transforming looks and enhancing characters through this art form.

Since my graduation, I have embarked on a fulfilling career that has allowed me to apply the skills I honed during my studies in real-world settings. I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, many of whom are experiencing the emotional and physical impact of medical hair loss. This experience has not only deepened my understanding of the psychological aspects of hair loss but has also allowed me to provide compassionate support and tailored solutions to help my clients feel more confident and empowered. Additionally, I have collaborated with several theatres and television and film productions, where I have been able to contribute my expertise in wig application and styling to bring characters to life on stage and screen. Each project has presented its own unique challenges and opportunities, further enriching my experience in the industry and solidifying my commitment to the art of make-up and hair design.
